Military zones
For military areas or buildings in Vienna, a written request for permits needs to be received with 2–3 months before productions begins. The granting of permits depends primarily on the script. A site visit with the production team follows. The Federal Army is not liable for any accidents that might occur on their property. In the provinces, the local military commands in the regional capitals should be contacted for permits. The military training ground in Großmittel, Lower Austria, was, for example, featured in the Austrian feature film WANTED with Alfred Dorfer.
